Finding this tour de table very informative, Ukraine added that it had recently signed the Faro Convention. The Interministerial Committee was set up shortly after Mr Robert Palmer’s visit. Interest was expressed in the WCTE project, Urban Rehabilitation, Art Exchanges and CBCC. They were already collaborating on the WCTE project with Moldova. Also, as 2008 would be the Year of Ukraine in Georgia, this could be an opportunity for further collaboration. Ukraine had prepared a progress report which mentioned the need for training of civil servants especially on culture administration at the local and regional level. A guide could perhaps also be published (such as the European Cultural Foundation publication). Regarding the ToRs, the Ministry of Culture had signed an agreement with an NGO “Democracy through Culture” to monitor all projects, assist in the implementation of activities and help with reporting.
